A dental implant is a device which is sunk directly into the jaw bone. It replaces the root of a tooth and has a crown or bridge placed on top of it. It is an excellent way to replace a missing tooth if you are a suitable candidate.
Instead of having a plastic denture with all its maintenance, convenience and durability issues or a bridge, which involves preparing adjacent teeth, an implant replaces the entirety of a missing tooth. It is as strong as your teeth and can last a lifetime.
The following GIF shows how it works:

At Nene dental centre, we have titanium screw type implants which are bio-compatible. During the procedure, the area of the missing tooth would be numbed and the gum would be opened up. The implant would be screwed into the bone and a crown or bridge would be placed immediately or after some weeks.
You can book an appointment for assessment at your convenience.
