Not every visit requires a radiograph but it is a very important part of making diagnosis. A radiograph can show the extent of tooth decay, if there is an infection, the state of your jaw bones and other things.
It is important to know that the radiation from our machines is controlled and minimal such that even repeated exposures are not harmful. We also have lead jackets available for your use, especially if you are pregnant.
There are many types of radiographs but the ones we take routinely are periapical, bitewings, digital and panaromic view radiographs.
